Mary Abodo
Chief Executive Officer/Founder, NexoAfrica
Ms. Abodo is the President and Founder of NexoAfrica, a global movement empowering diverse professionals. A Towson University graduate in Finance, she exemplifies resilience and visionary leadership. Through NexoAfrica, she champions global collaboration and the transformative power of the African diaspora.

Sewa Gunn, M.A
Chief Operating Officer, NexoAfrica
Mr. Gunn is a Spring 2026 Juris Doctor candidate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law and an emerging legal strategist with a focused commitment to excellence in federal workers’ compensation, construction law, and financial regulatory compliance. He combines rigorous legal training with meaningful regulatory and consulting experience to deliver thoughtful, high-impact support for clients navigating complex legal and administrative systems.

Laura Ague
Board Member, NexoAfrica
Ms. Ague, a Cybersecurity Compliance Manager from Lomé, Togo, specializes in risk management and organizational security. She mentors aspiring IT professionals and empowers young women to reach their potential. A visionary creative, she brings ideas to life through storytelling and leadership.​

Kwaku Ampadu
Board Member, NexoAfrica
Mr. Ampadu, a Bronx native and graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business, is a Senior Healthcare Systems Engineer at Epic. He specializes in optimizing healthcare operations nationwide through the design, implementation, and training of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems that improve efficiency, patient outcomes, and provider performance.

Chelsea Fonou
Board Member, NexoAfrica
Ms. Fonou is a seasoned cybersecurity and information security professional based in Washington, DC, with a strong background in safeguarding digital systems and driving strategic security initiatives. She currently serves as a Senior Information Security Analyst at Amtrak, where she applies her expertise to protect critical infrastructure, assess risk, and implement advanced security measures across enterprise environments.
